Welcome to the Bluffers Guide to Christian Theology: Who is Jesus and what did he do? It's almost a guarantee that by the end of these podcasts you'll know more impressive multi-syllable words to use in scrabble games than from any other module on rejesus. Not to mention a rather sound grasp of some of the more academic aspects of biblical interpretation.

About this section
In the summer of 2005 two church leaders and lecturers led an 8 part beginners guide to Christian theology. Here we present sessions two and three on Jesus. Find all 8 podcasts and more information here.

The Theologians:
Simon
Simon Taylor is a Parish Priest in Bristol who has taught theology at universities in Oxford and Sheffield. He’d rather be walking in the hills or watching Doctor Who than what ever it is he’s doing right now. His blog.

paul roberts
Paul Roberts
was a tutor in worship and Christian doctrine at Trinity College Bristol. He is currently the minister of two Church of England parishes in Bristol. Besides theology, his interests are cycling, electronics, music and drinking real ale. (Except in Lent.) His blog.

      Who is Jesus?
The first part looks at the question lying at the heart of the gospels: just who is this man? The talk covers the first three centuries of Christian thinking from the New Testament to the Nicene Creed.
  What did Jesus do?
The second part provides a quick way of getting to grips with the biblical metaphors which attempt to describe what Jesus’ death and resurrection have achieved.
