Mary is viisted by an angel, Gabriel, who tells her she will give birth to the Son of God.
Mary visits her relative, Elizabeth, who is also pregnant, carrying a boy who will become John the Baptist.
Mary gives thanks to God for blessing her in such an amazing way. Her song is still sung in churches today.

Astrologers travel from the east to Jerusalem, searching for a newborn king, and meet King Herod.
King Herod orders the killing of all newborn boys in Bethlehem, but Mary, Joseph and Jesus escape.
